Research post in Embedded Test and Health Monitoring for Micro and Nano Systems

The Centre for Microsystems Engineering are looking for a post-doctoral researcher for a period of 2-3 years to work on embedded test and health monitoring solutions for Multi-Technology Micro & Nanosystems.

The work will focus on both MEMS enabled systems and miniaturised bio-fluidic systems where self-test and a level of embedded diagnostics and prognostics is required. The work will be carried out in collaboration with Heriot Watt University and link into a number of other academic and industrial teams including EPIGEM, QinetiQ, Ultra-BCF and the UK Innovative Electronics Manufacturing Centre. It will also build on both knowledge and collaborative links developed under the European Network of Excellence “Patent-DfMM”.

Of specific interest will be reliability engineers with experience around Physics of Failure, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Degradation modelling who have an interest in applying this knowledge within a systems design environment, Design for Test engineers who have experience in analogue engineering and designers who have an interest in supporting the reliability and test requirements of miniaturised integrated systems.

Potential applicants should contact Prof. Andrew Richardson on A.Richardson@Lancaster.ac.uk for further information.
