New Nexus Association Appointment

Patric Salomon has recently been hired as Director Business and Administration for the Nexus Association Switzerland on a part-time basis.
While still continuing his consultancy work within 4M2C / enablingMNT, Patric will be spending a significant percentage of his time in the future assuring the complete support for NEXUS open commitments in the SmartHEALTH and NEXUSplus Projects as well as helping reshaping the direction of Nexus for the future.
I am extremely pleased to have such a competent and experienced professional on board to undertake these tasks and I believe we will all benefit enormously from his whole-hearted commitment to the job and the Association.

NEXUSplus Workshops on: Microfluidics, Structural Health Monitoring, and Metrology

During the last 9 months the NEXUS Association has organised a series of Expert / Consultation Workshops on behalf of the European Commission (EC) to discuss and prioritise industry and research needs in selected areas of Micro Nano Technologies (MNT). In average 20-25 key industrialists and research coordinators have participated and output has been captured in a “research / industry strategy report” that aimed at providing consultation to the EC for next steps in the FP7 workprogramme.
Decisions have not yet been made for a schedule to make reports available to the public. If you are interested in one of the topics mentioned above, please send an E-Mail with your complete contact details to the NEXUS office and we will let you know as soon as publishable results become available.

With the office relocated to Switzerland and with a strong administrative support housed within the CSEM, we hope to re-energise the Nexus activities and provide an efficient and useful core networking services to the European MNT community.

Nexus lives and will, with these new initiatives, refocus its efforts and find again a way to improve its service to all members.
